THIS GROUP (BELOW) IS BY INVITATION ONLY AND MEETS ONCE A WEEK AFTER SCHOOL
PROJECT CHALLENGE 6 – This program is designed for students who are identified by the district as gifted and talented. The 6th grade model offers weekly meetings that are held in Mr. Bacon's classroom directly after school. Students will be directed to take the late bus or walk home depending on their specific situation. It is understood that students who participate in extracurricular activities & sports will sometimes have time conflicts. Therefore, attendance is not mandatory and there will be no "homework" assignments between meetings.
Each session is designed to challenge your child to think creatively while collaborating with their peers. Some activities include materials from: Stories with Holes by Nathan Levy, Brain Games! By Jack Umstatter, Creativity Day-By-Day by Burke & Levy, Not Just Schoolwork by Burke & Levy, Circuit Maze: Electronic Current Logic Game, Code Master: Programming Logic Game, & much more!
