I&RS

The major function of the Intervention and Referral Services Team is to design and recommend interventions for general education pupils experiencing difficulties in their regular classes.

The composition of the Intervention and Referral Services is the building principal or a designee with administrative authority to implement the decisions of the committee, at least two regular education teachers, a guidance counselor, a special education teacher, and a member from the Child Study Team.

After analyzing the various educational needs and concerns brought to the attention of the I&RST regarding individual pupils, the committee will develop intervention strategies and action plans.
